3. Click **Save**

#### **Example: What customers will see**

<figure><img src="https://docs.tipo.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2420234940-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F1ux6d1pfkKFKCAAHuj8H%252Fuploads%252F8DSFnUYT4rNYxT3bkAUx%252F2025-12-15_16-22-24.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D6915f041-523f-480f-af05-1787fd35298e&#x26;width=768&#x26;dpr=4&#x26;quality=100&#x26;sign=2dc2302d&#x26;sv=2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

* ❌ No slots shown between Dec 22–30
* ✅ Slots resume on Dec 31

Customers never see blocked dates on the booking popup.

**Notes:**

⚠️ Blocking time does **not cancel existing bookings** (You’ll need to reschedule or cancel them manually.)

⚠️ Blocked time overrides:

* overlapping time slots
* booking date range
* staff availability

### ⚙️ Option 2: Set up employee availability <a href="#option-2-set-up-employee-availability" id="option-2-set-up-employee-availability"></a>

The available time of the service depends on available time of the team member.

If you want to edit the available time of a specific service. you need to

* create a team member
* edit availability time of team member to block off certain dates or time
* assign team member to the service

#### **Steps to manage**

1\. Open the app > click **Services** on the left menu > open the service you want to edit

2\. In the service detail > **Availability** > click on team member name or create a new team member > it directs to team member detail

<figure><img src="https://docs.tipo.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2420234940-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F1ux6d1pfkKFKCAAHuj8H%252Fuploads%252F81GRMoWwD5jSyukr7BJn%252F2025-12-15_15-09-04.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D73d6c120-fb1b-44d4-8c23-cb5de0fa7334&#x26;width=768&#x26;dpr=4&#x26;quality=100&#x26;sign=f3745c8&#x26;sv=2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Another approach: Open the app > click **Team Members** > open the team member detail you want

3\. In **Availability** section, click on a date you want to edit > The Edit Availability popup will appear > click **Unavailable**

<figure><img src="https://docs.tipo.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2420234940-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F1ux6d1pfkKFKCAAHuj8H%252Fuploads%252FKQJ1mNVZbaczO9ZTbRJF%252F2025-12-15_16-35-27.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D62ec7de8-7ad8-4a37-9929-9b87257dd5c7&#x26;width=768&#x26;dpr=4&#x26;quality=100&#x26;sign=ffbff054&#x26;sv=2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4\. Select date(s) to apply the time

* click **Sunday Dec 14, 2025**, to apply the time to a specific date only
* or click **All Sunday** to all time to all sundays
* or click **Day or week range** > select multiple days you want to be unavailable

<figure><img src="https://docs.tipo.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2420234940-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F1ux6d1pfkKFKCAAHuj8H%252Fuploads%252FIc5fgFjXhPTRbuWxxuzZ%252F2025-12-15_16-37-57.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D1c85e683-d0b3-4a84-9f23-6f7f1715f9c0&#x26;width=768&#x26;dpr=4&#x26;quality=100&#x26;sign=9fed34f7&#x26;sv=2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5\. click **Save**

The blocked time will immediately disappear from customer booking options

#### **What Customers Will See**

When a time is blocked:

* The time slot will not appear in the booking popup
* Customers cannot select or book during unavailable periods
* Only valid, available slots are shown

**Example:**

Stylist “Maria” is unavailable on March 8, 2026 because of a seminar.

* In Maria’s availability: select March 8 → mark as Unavailable (all day).
* Only Maria is unavailable; other team members remain bookable.
