Set up overlapped time slots

By default, time slots for appointments are created based on the duration of your service. However, you can create more flexible time slots using the overlapped setting. This gives your customers more options when booking.

What Is an overlapping Time Slot?

Let’s say your service duration is 60 minutes.

• Without overlapping: Time slots will appear every 60 minutes (e.g. 9:00, 10:00, 11:00).

• With overlapping (e.g., every 15 minutes): Time slots will appear every 15 minutes (e.g. 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45), even though the service still takes 60 minutes.

This gives customers more flexibility to choose a start time.

Steps

1. Open the app > click Settings > Advanced > scroll down to Allow flexible time slots

2. Select option Allow overlapping

3. Select Time stepping

4. Click Save

Example

If you set:

• Service Duration: 60 minutes

• Interleaved Time Slot Interval: 15 minutes

Your available time slots will be: 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45, 10:00, 10:15, etc.

Each booking still lasts 60 minutes, but starts at flexible times.
