Set up Free service (book without pay)

Create a Free service

This feature allows ignoring the checkout and payment step when the service is free.

Select Free booking option for service

1. Create a service product in Shopify Products. Product name will be service name, product price will be service price.

The product status is active.

2. Open the app > click Services > click New Service button > Select one product from Shopify product list

1. In General tab, configure required sections including Status, Location, Description, Capacity, Duration and payment.

Capacity is the maximum number of slots at the same period of time.

1. In Payment method section, select option Book without payment > select Free booking

There are 2 options for Book without payment

• Pay later: fill out the free form and book without checkout, normal Shopify order is still created.

• Free booking: fill out the free form and book without checkout, test-mode Shopify order is still created.

1. In Availability tab, create a new employee and assign an employee. Service time will be the available time of the employee

2. Click Save

Next, set up custom fields to collect customer data for the free appointment:

1. Open the app > click Settings > Customer account

2. Enable the field(s) you want to show

3. Set up field label and set as required if needed

4. Click Save

How does Free service work on the font store?

The Free service doesn’t require customers to check out (to pay for the service) after click Confirm button on the booking form.

1. On the booking form, customers select service/date-hour they want

2. The Free service form (includes Email, last name, first name, phone) shows up after customers select time slot 3. After filling free service form, customers click Confirm button > it directs them a confirmation screen withThank you message. Order is created in the Shopify Orders.
