Create a service

You can easily add a new service to your booking system in just a few clicks. Follow the steps below:

The Tipo Booking app creates service based on Shopify products. After creating a service in the app, the booking form will show up on the product page on the online store.

There are 2 options to create the service.

  • create with an existing product

  • create with a new product

Create service based on an existing product

Steps to manage

1. Create a service product in Shopify Products. Product name will be service name, product price will be service price.

The product status is active.

2. Open the app > click Services > click New Service button > select a service type

3. Select one product from Shopify product list

4. In General tab, configure required sections including Status, Location, Description, Capacity, Duration and payment.

Click Customize based on variants to set the duration and capacity for each variant of the product

Capacity is the maximum number of slots at the same period of time.

  1. In Availability tab, create a new employee and assign an employee. Service time will be the available time of the employee

  1. In Advanced and Customization tab, configure the option you want (optional)

  1. Click Save

After creating the service in the app, check the booking button on the front store. The booking button will show up on the product page on the online store.

Note:

To make sure the booking form works on the site, please activate the app on the theme here

Also, the book button of the app works based on buy button on the theme. Please check and make sure the buy button (add to cart button) is enabled in the current theme.

Create a new service with a new product

This option allows users to create the service directly in the Tipo app. The service is still built with a Shopify product, but you do not need to create the Shopify product first.

Step to manage

1. Open the app > click Services > click New Service button

2. Select the option Create new service with new product > it directs you to the Create new product screen on Shopify Products > you can create a service product in Shopify Products. Product name will be service name, product price will be service price.

The product status is active.

2. Go back to the app > select the product you have created from Shopify product list

4. In General tab, configure required sections including Status, Location, Description, Capacity, Duration and payment.
