Why my order payment gateway is test mode?

When you check the booking orders in Shopify Orders, there are orders which have the message as below:

The reason is that these orders are created after your customers book appointments of free services.

When you set up a Free Service (Book Without Payment) in our app, no actual payment is processed. To record the booking in Shopify without charging the customer, our app uses a test mode gateway to generate a placeholder order.

This ensures:

• Customers are not charged for free services.

• The order still appears in your Shopify admin for tracking and management.

• The experience remains seamless without requiring checkout.

Our app supports two types of services:

• Free Service (Book Without Payment):

  • No checkout or payment is required.

  • A test mode order is automatically created in Shopify.

• Paid Service (Pay to Book):

  • The service is added to the cart like a regular product.

  • Customers complete checkout and a standard Shopify order is created after payment.

Test mode is used only for free services and helps keep your records accurate without processing real payments.
