Set up default status for appointments

You can control how appointment statuses are handled by setting a default status in the app settings. This helps streamline your workflow and ensures appointments reflect the correct status automatically.

Steps:

  1. Go to Tipo Appointment app > open Settings > Advanced

  2. Scroll to the section labeled Default status for new bookings > choose one of the following options:

  • Sync with Order Status

  • Pending

  • Approved

  1. Click Save

Sync with Order Status

  • If the Shopify order is unpaid → the appointment will show up as Pending in the app.

  • If the Shopify order is paid → the appointment will show up as Approved in the app.

Note: This option only applies to services that use “Book with Payment.” For free services (using “Book without Payment”), no Shopify order is created, and the appointment will always show up as Approved.

Pending

  • All new appointments will be marked as Pending, regardless of payment status.

Approved

  • All new appointments will be marked as Approved immediately.
