Automatically sync draft order information to Source stores

Tipo Multi-Store Sync automatically creates draft orders in your source store when a new order is placed in the destination store. This helps centralize order processing and inventory management, especially for merchants using one main store to fulfill orders across multiple storefronts.

How does the sync work?

  1. A customer places an order in the destination store (e.g., a regional or branded storefront).

  2. Tipo detects the order and checks for product matches in the source store.

  3. A draft order is created in the source store with:

    • Same products (if they exist in the source store)

    • Customer information (if available)

    • Order note referencing the original order

  4. You can manually convert the draft to a real order in Shopify for fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Products must be mapped between the source and destination stores.

  • Draft order sync option must be enabled in app settings.

Step to manage

1. Open the app in Source store > click Settings

2. In Sync Inventory and Orders part > select Draft Order Sync and One-Way Inventory Sync > select Yes to send an invoice of the draft order (optional)

3. Click Save

Example

You have two stores:

  • Source store: mainbrand.myshopify.com

  • Destination store: eu-brand.myshopify.com

A customer orders in store eu-brand.myshopify.com:

  • 1x "Red T-Shirt"

  • 2x "Blue Hoodie"

If both products exist and are mapped in the source store, the app will:

  • Create a draft order in mainbrand.myshopify.com

  • Include "Red T-Shirt" and "Blue Hoodie" with the correct quantities
