# Change widget status

Widget status controls **whether the widget appears on your store**.

* **Active** → Widget can show on your storefront
* **Draft** → Widget is hidden and will not show

#### 🛠️ Set a widget to Active

1. Go to the app > click **Widgets**
2. Tick on the checkbox of the widget you want to publish
3. Click **Active** (top-right).

✅ **Result**\
The widget is now live (as long as placement and theme setup are correct).

#### 🛠️ Set a widget to Draft

1. Go to **Widgets**.
2. Select the widget you want to hide.
3. Click **Disable**.

✅ **Result**\
The widget will no longer appear on your store, but all settings are saved.

💡 **Tip**\
Use **Draft** when:

* You want to pause a widget temporarily
* You are testing different widgets
* You plan to edit it later

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.tipo.io/tipo-related-products/widget-setup/change-widget-status.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
