# Compare plans

See what Free, Starter, Growth and Pro include, and what every plan gets.

Every plan protects the same kinds of data and includes the same restore features. The plans differ in how much you can store, how long backups are kept, and how often automatic backups can run.

To see the plans in the app, open **Plans** from **Home** > **Plan & usage** > **View plan**.

## What each plan includes

The Pro card carries a **Best protection** badge. Your own plan shows a **Current plan** badge instead.

### What the limits mean

| Limit                   | What it means                                                                                                                                                         |
| ----------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Products**            | The number of products your store has right now, as tracked by your backups. Products you deleted from your store don't count. You can sit exactly at the limit.      |
| **Storage**             | The total size of your stored backups. Reaching the limit counts as full.                                                                                             |
| **Retention**           | How long a backup is kept before it is removed.                                                                                                                       |
| **Backups always kept** | The most recent backups that are kept even after they pass the retention period.                                                                                      |
| **Deleted items kept**  | How long the app keeps an item after you delete it from your store, so you can still [restore it](/backup-and-restore-tipo/restore/restore/restore-deleted-items.md). |
| **Automatic backups**   | The fastest schedule you can choose in Settings. A slower schedule is always available.                                                                               |

## What every plan includes

Under **Everything you need to keep your store safe**, the app lists what **Every plan includes**:

* Automatic and on-demand backups
* Full and incremental backups
* Products, collections, customers, themes and more
* Preview changes before you restore
* Restore deleted items
* Compare changes between backups
* Restore history
* Download a copy of any backup
* Email alerts when something needs attention

Your plan never limits which kinds of data you can back up, and it never limits how many restores you run. Only the limits in the table above change from plan to plan.

## Monthly or yearly billing

Starter, Growth and Pro can be billed monthly or yearly. A yearly plan costs the same as 10 months, so you save 16%. The **Save 16%** badge appears next to the billing period buttons.

Select **Monthly** or **Yearly** at the top of the Plans page to switch the prices on the cards. The button for the period you are viewing is greyed out. Select the other button to change the view. The Free card looks the same in both views.

## Free trial

Starter, Growth and Pro come with a 7-day free trial. You get one trial per store, not one per plan. If a paid plan has already been active on your store, the trial line no longer appears on the cards.

## Existing stores keep their prices

Prices and limits on your Plans page are the ones that apply to your store. If we offer new prices later, your store keeps the prices it started with.
